SA OID Threshold Jumps to R633k: COIDA Update March 2025

The Minister of Employment and Labour published a Government Notice increasing the OID earnings threshold as follows:

• from R597 328.00 per annum (limit for 2024/2025),
• to R633 168.00 per annum effective 01 March 2025 (limit for 2025/2026).

The OID earnings threshold is the maximum amount of earnings per annum per employee on which an assessment of an employer is calculated in terms of section 83(8) of the Compensation of Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA).
